Incredible India" Road Show
took place in Swissotel in Turkish capital Ankara on Tuesday.
Indian Ambassador in Ankara Susmita Gongulee Thomas spoke at the opening of the event and said, "70,000 Indian tourists visit Turkey each year. We would like to see more Turkish visitors in India as the number of Turkish tourists in India is as low as 16-18 thousand."
State Tourism Authorities of Madhya Pradesh state which is situated in the middle of the country and called "Heart of India" and Andhra Pradesh state which is placed in the southeastern of the country, Tukoji Rao Puar and Vasant Kumar were promoted at the colorful event as well.
"Incredible India" dance team presented Indian folk dances throughout the event, delicious Indian cuisine was on service for India enthusiasts and they held meetings for tourism sector representatives.
The second event of "Incredible India" Road Show which aims to improve the cooperation and tourism between Turkey and India will take place in Istanbul on October 18.
